Which Milk, A1 or A2, Is Preferable?

In recent years, there has been a tremendous increase in numerous lifestyle diseases. Apart from that, the Corona epidemic has exposed people to a variety of medical issues. As a result, individuals are more concerned about their health and want to make healthier choices regarding how they eat, drink, sleep, enjoy, and exercise.

Milk is one of the most often used beverages in most households across the country, and people have grown wary of the type of milk they eat. While only one type of milk has been widely consumed in India for many decades, A2 milk, which is believed to be far superior to A1 milk, is now accessible.

A1 or A2 Milk: Which Is Better?

A1 milk is derived from cows of Western origin, such as Jersey cows.It is the most widely drank milk in India. A2 milk, on the other hand, is produced by cows of Indian ancestry such as Gir and Sahiwal. The chemical makeup of A2 milk distinguishes it from other milks.

According to scientists, Casein accounts for 80% of the protein contained in milk. While A1 cow milk has A1 beta-casein, A2 cow milk contains A2 beta-casein.

The most recent research show that, A1 beta-casein, which is contained in A1 milk, increases the risk of heart disease, Type 1 diabetes, and is inflammatory.

Furthermore, A1 milk produces more digestive distress than A2 milk.
However, the lactose content of both types of milk is the same. As a result, A2 milk is marketed as a healthier alternative to A1 milk.

Because A1 milk is generally available, it is priced lower, but A2 milk is less commonly available, which is why its rates are higher. Furthermore, sellers selling A2 milk have marketed it as a healthier choice, which has increased demand for this sort of milk by leaps and bounds. Most dietitians recommend drinking milk on a daily basis, regardless of whether it is A2 or A1 milk, because both forms of milk are high in vitamin D, calcium, and protein.

Only those who are lactose intolerant should transition to plant-based milk.
